USA trip 2008...
Ever since the start of my interest for dogs and Schnauzers there has been one Kennel that I always has had as "the" favorite - Regency in the US, Beverly Verna
A year ago I bred to a male that was all "Regency"and with the results I got in this litter, the hunt for more was on... By coinsidence I found out that a half-brother to the male I bred to was at Bev and Jerry's place in Carlifornia, and when I found out that the mother was a bitch I felt in love with when I saw her in 2005, my plans was ready...
BUT - travel around the earth ( 8 time-zones) at the right time is not easy planned. Would the male be availeble for stud? and would it fit in our busy days before christmas?
Bev invited me over even if it would be christmas ( that could happen as she was ready June 24 last time)
Loppa arrives in San FransiscoLucky us - Loppa started in season a little earlier than planned, but getting around the world within 10 days... Not easy! And getting free from work. Done the day before I left. Then clear with Bev and Jerry that they was at home and finding a trip that was not taking days and not to high in price.. Found a trip that only took 14 hours from Oslo..
We left Oslo at 0500 in the morning and via Frankfurt, Germany, we ended up in San Francisco at 1 PM local time.
From the airport it was a 2 hours drive to Tracy where Bev and Jerry lives. The trip from Oslo to Tracy went so smooth and Loppa was the perfect companion.
When we came to Tracy we dropped of our things and went straight to Regency - and the first two who came out was Regency's Black bling bling and Regency's Twist of fate. 2 dogs that are well known around for schnauzer-lovers.. I must admit that I was really excited when Bev and Jerry came out and met me and Loppa - It is  breed-history and knowledge that is rarely found I should enjoy the company with. A modest smile from Bev and then I was introduced to the world of Regency.
Picture to left show Bev and Jerry taking dogs and puppies out for me too see...
I knew this would be one of these days I never will forget...

Bev with Regency's Twist of Fate and Jerry with Regency's Good to go

This is "Chucky" in the backyard enjoying the life of a miniatureschnauzer. A male full of self-confindence and such a beauty...

Picture under shows him together with "Twister" These 2 males was a wonderful expierence together..

Regency Good to goIt was not difficult to ask "Loppa" to behave herself here.. Even with a "jet-lag" and driving the first mating went smoothly, And Jerry got too se a long-tailed Min.schnauzer for his first time and just smiled...
After the mating and we went inside Bev came out with 3 boxes of pictures... Here is some history - Bev said, and I was thrilled.... I went trought hundreds of pictures of her dogs and breeding and tried to remember and look how she has bred and made her dogs so amazing trought all these years. And the Regency was clear from the first one...
And pictures never published  - R. Right on Target on the back of a coach on the hunt for food, or maybe  R.Right on on Bev's pillow...
I was all sold for hours and despite it was 4 in the morning Norw.time I was more awake the ever...

4 puppies out of Jokerland Black Pearl and  Regency's Black bling bling
Jerry with his love and her son...For 3 days I was looking, feeling, going trought and enjoying the dogs of Regency.

The 2'nd day I saw an old dog enjoying the sun..
This was Daree Strike a Pose - Twister's mother  at age 14, still around and happy. Picture on right is Jerry with mother and son..

Bevery and her parrotIt was also a Parrot there... SO beautiful and was not found of strangers and was ready to take care of me if I came to close... BUT what a beauty....

Picture under shows him enjoying some
barberque-leftovers..
Loppa leaving USA....During my 3 days in CA, I had the pleasure of seeing Bev groom dogs, listen to amazing stories about her dogs and trips world-wide. I am so filled with schnauzer-history after this trip and just sat back and smiled on the 11 hour flight with a screaming kid in front of me...
I will be forever greatful to Bev and Jerry for this incredible oppertunity and now we can just hope that the continuense of this story will influence Norway and Scandinavia on the miniatureschnauzers.
Thank you so much Bev and Jerry for everything your shared with me - including the local fruits and the wine that tasted wonderful...

If someone hoped for pictures from sightseeing, I just have to say - My sightseeing stopped in Tracy CA at Bev and Jerry's place and that was enought for this time
